There is plenty to appeal to gin connoisseurs with a wealth of distilleries showcasing their spirits from Trevethan Distillery and Curio Spirits Company in Cornwall to Edinburgh Gin and Stirling Gin in Scotland and D1 London Spirits, Twisted Nose, Liverpool Gin and Poetic License in-between. From further afield will be G’Vine from France, Isfjord from Greenland and Barr Hill Gin and Tom Cat Barrel Aged gin from Caledonia Spirits in Vermont.
In addition to the distilleries, Fentimans and Fever-Tree will be showcasing their range of mixers to accompany your spirits. Gin Explorer will also be there in case you get the taste for gin festivals and fancy a take-away version delivered to your door every month. Also exhibiting will be Difford’s Guide, publishers of a series of guide books for discerning drinkers, and Choctails, a family-run artisan chocolate company creating luxury handmade truffles based on cocktail recipes.
If that’s not enough to entertain you, there’ll also be a Winter Wonderland Bar from the London Cocktail Club and a Street Food Village, as well as mixology demonstrations, live music and entertainment.
Should you need a break from the booze there are also a number of masterclasses to choose from, including Gin – A Botanical Bonanza which promises to introduce you to the wonderful world of botanicals. Following on from which, you will get the opportunity to blend your own gin to take home with you. On the Saturday, The Wine & Spirit Education Trust will also be hosting a free introduction to Tasting Spirits offering an education in what to look for and what to avoid!
